YUKON CORNELIUS

1.5 oz small batch whiskey

1 oz mulled wine syrup

1 oz aquafaba (or 1 egg white)

.75 oz lemon juice

3 dashes peychaud’s barrel aged bitters

fill a rocks glass with ice & set aside. add all ingredients to an empty shaker, shake for ~30 seconds. add ice from rocks glass to shaker, shake ~30 seconds. strain into rocks glass, large ice cube optional. 

GARNISH WITH star anise

MULLED WINE SYRUP

1 c water

1 750ml bottle malbec

zest of 1 large orange

1 large cinnamon stick

10 green cardamom pods

3-star anise

12 cloves

1 c organic sugar

simmer all ingredients except sugar for 15 minutes. stir in sugar, simmer for 15 more minutes. remove from heat and let cool. strain solids and store in refrigerator.
